About PW

PokemonWorld.co.uk was created by Pokerob at the young age of 12 on the 13th March 2004. The aim of the website in the beginning was to be a fansite for pokemon for other fans to meet fellow fans and discuss everything about the world of pokemon! From this, the website decided to follow to being a community of friends throughout the world!

In 2006 the site decided to change with the times with WiFi being avaliable for Diamond/Pearl they decided for the intials "PWL" to mean "Pokemon World League" a website focused on competitive pokemon battling.

In 2008 the website took another turn, to become "PWUK" the UK's Pokemon Community. With the help of Havak joining in June 2009, the site worked towards becoming more focused on the UK's populace of pokemon fans giving them a place to discuss with fellow british followers all things in the world of pokemon.

In 2009, PWUK decided to start hosting UK Pokemon Tournaments with Gamerbase and Pokecharms. With the fantastic help of Havak and Pikachimba, PWUK continues to host successful pokemon tournaments with the help of Gamerbase and support from Nintendo UK for prizes.

From 2011, tblakey89 joined the administration team and helped create this wonderful website right in front of your eyes with the graphics design done by Pokerob! In the same year, he resigned from his post from doing a fantastic job as well as did the mighty Havak.

Now, with a new generation of staff with adminstrators including Alex, Pikachimba and Tribute, we look to the future to bring more tournaments and prospects for the UK Pokemon Community!

PWUK has come a long way since its small beginnings but now the top fansite when you search "pokemon uk" on Google and with such a friendly load of members (both male and female!) we have grown into a really friendly pokemon community always looking for new and aspiring trainers!
