I think it probably is more of a Lucario Evo. Look a the skinny waist. Lucario has a skinny waist as well but Mightyena does not. Also if it was a Mightyena evo they would probably also bring out a Linoone evo too since they were usually found together. Usually pokemon in the games at the start like Poochyena and Zigzagoon are kept together. Like Caterpie and Weedle, Starly and Bidoof etc.
Then again Lucario already got a movie so tell it to bugger off.
I doubt it would be a starter as it would probably show the other two silhouettes. However I think the best likeleyness is maybe a branch evolution of Riolu.
But guys when your looking at a silhoutte look at it from different angles. The ponytail may not be a ponytail it might be the hair and tail grow closley together.

All the speculation about new evos is kinda dumb imo...

Releasing a completely new pokemon rather than a evo will get people more pumped for 5th gen. When i saw some of the new evos for 4th gen I was unimpressed...

I'll shoot myself if it has something to do with Lucario. I do like Lucario don't get me wrong, but I hope they revisit some of the older pokes and give them some new evos, Lucario just had his game and movie give another poke a chance.

By the way do even know that it is a regular poke and not a Legendary cause I feel like if it has a big part to play in the new movie, 13 right?, it might be a new legendary because from what I've heard the move centers around the three legendary dogs fighting and Celebi tries to break it up blah blah blah and maybe this new poke is a legendary who is the leader of the legendary dogs? I mean Moltres, Zapdos, and Articuno had Luigia and Ho-oh. Kyogre and Groudon had Rayquaza, and the new ones had Arceus we really didn't have a true leading Pokemon for the dogs. Also their is the trailer with evil Ash which would leave me to maybe believe you have this new legendary trying to cause trouble because Ash is quote unquote the savior of the world, so he is trying to mess with Ash leading to again a ghost dark type Pokemon.

The reason I think it's a Riolu evo is because Lucario is good enough, and it doesn't seem right to go from a fighting type to a steel fighting type to a dark or ghost/fighting type. I believe that it will have access to Nasty Plot (just by looking at that picture), and will have the same base stats as Lucario but the attack and defence stats reversed. (This is if it is even a Lucario-related pokemon at all)

I'm going to rage if it's Lucario Evo, I really will. That pokemon has to much gloss around it already, it ain't need no evo!

I want it to be Mightyena evolution. I love Mightyena. It has awsome colour scheme, form, the animal it's based on is win AND it hasn't had any significant roles so far.

I'm guessing that the "pony tail", is actualy a claw or a tail. Although now I'm thinking, what if we're completely wrong? WHAT IF, actualy ninty is going to be a real tit and just make a rapidash evo? That "pony tail/claw/tail" could be a flame. Just some thoughts, although if it is a claw, Scizor evo much?

Just to mix things up a little - does anyone else think that the pointed snout could actually be a beak...?

Hmm, could be a trunk too, seeing as Phampy and Dolphan are the only elephants in pokemon.
