Pokémon X & Y Patch Released
Many of us have been enjoying Pokémon X
and Pokémon Y
for almost two weeks now, however as many will likely already know, within the first few days of release a game-breaking bug was fond within the games. The bug meant that any player who saved within certain parts of Lumiose City were unable to reload their save data and play the game.
Good news today for those affected by the bug and those worried about it as Nintendo have released a patch for the games which resolve the issue and will also allow those of you affected by the bug to reload your previously inaccessible data and continue playing, if you haven't already deleted the data and began a new game.
The patch takes up 229 blocks on your SD card, so make sure you have room! You can access it through the 3DS' eShop, or you can scan the QR code in the image above with the 3DS' camera to access the eShop and patch more quickly.

Nintendo Reveal Nintendo 2DS!
In what came as a very surprising move, yesterday Nintendo revealed the latest console in their DS family of handhelds, the Nintendo 2DS. The console is everything the Nintendo 3DS is, expect for the fact the 2DS only plays games in 2D (hence the name), making it perhaps the better choice for the younger Nintendo gamers out there.
Aside from the loss of playing games in 3D, the 2DS has also lost the clamshell design of past DS systems. However, the design of the 2DS does look pretty sturdy, so it can likely deal with a lot more wear and tear than the current 3DS systems. To make up for the loss of the clamshell design the 2DS has a button allowing you to put the system into sleep mode for when you're out and about and looking to StreetPass and such.
The 2DS will be released in Europe on the 12th of October, the same day as Pokémon X
and Pokémon Y
. It will be available in two colours, a red and white design and a black and blue design. The console is far cheaper than the current 3DS systems, with GAME
offering pre-orders at £109.99

Sorry for the late update guys and girls, been very busy with work. Anyway NEWS TIME!!!
And we shall start with a new Anime that was reported yesterday by nationspokemon called 'Pokemon: Origins.' Its pretty much simple really. It's basically an Origins story of Pokemon from the very first games; Red and Green. If your lucky enough to have played the original Red and Blue or the remakes Fire Red and Leaf Green then you know the basic plot. It starts off with new trainer Red getting a Pokemon from Prof. Oak and going out on a journey to collect all the Gym Badges and fill the Pokedex while aiming for the Pokemon League. Along the way he will battle his Rival Green and Team Rocket. Here is a trailer so please enjoy:
The last bit of news is in regards to the Demo of Pokemon X and Y at the Pokemon Game Show in Japan which has revealed alot of information in regards to Mega Evolutions and some moves for Pokemon. First of all, in the Demo version you get given Mewtwo by Prof. Sycamore and he guides you on how to activate the Mega Evolutions of Pokemon, which is providing it 'can' Mega Evolve and is holding it's correct Mega Stone, all you have to do is just press an additional button on the battle screen on the bottom touch screen while selecting a move. In the Demo versions of the games Fennekin has the moves, Psybeam, Flame Charge, Fire Spin and Tail Whip. Helioptyle has Parabolic Charge, Thundershock, Quick Attack and Tail Whip. Froakie has the moves of Water Pulse, Lick, Quick Attack and Round. While the cute Sylveon has got the normal Eevee moveset of Quick Attack, Tail Whip, Swift and the new fairy move; Fairy Wind. It's also been revealed by people playing the Demo that running is now the default movement when using the Analogue Stick and in order to Walk (who wants to walk in these days in games?) all you have to do is press B (so in reverse from running currently lol).
There also have been some details in regards to the Pokemon-Amie where each Pokemon has 3 stats; Play, Hunger and Friendliness. Nothing revealed on what these stats do to the Pokemon in game (other than the obvious) but it sounds like a Tamagotchi feature. One last little bit of info has been found out aswell by people battling in the games. Fairy type moves are not very effective against Fire Type Pokemon.
And on a final note. I would like to congratulate woopahking123 for comming 6th in the Senior Division at the Pokemon World Championships last weekend! Well done bud!
That's all for now everyone!
