About Pokemon World League
Pokemon World League is a website based on the sole purpose of a pokemon wi-fi
challenge with those with wi-fi capabilities can participate in our tournaments,
community but most of all. Our Pokemon League!
The Pokemon World League has changed various times, the last concept was the use
of badges and having wifi gym leaders to challenge and then face off against the
elite four and finally the champion. This has been scrapped for a new idea based
on an original concept that due to wifi is more then easy to make happen,
Ladder.
The idea is that if you would like a match in the next 48 hours you would go to
the Ladder Request Match Thread inside the forums inside the forum known as
'Pokemon World League' and simply reply there asking for a match with preferred
times. You will then be placed into a queue in which you will then once put to
the front of it get to be setted up with an opponent and then your match thread
is created and in which you must choose a time to battle your opponent (times
based on UTC Universal Time) and must both agree to the time.
Once completed your battle a moderator will close your match thread and create
you a PWL File which will contain your wins/losses/draws/disconnections and the
like and of cource your skill rating which is what works out how good you're
compared to others. Get a good enough skill rating and you might make it to the
top 20. Also, those at the end of the year in the top 8 can then go forward to
the season's play-offs. These Play-Offs are played to determine the winner of
that season. Based on straight knockout whoever wins all their matches in the
play-offs wins the season!
The Pokemon World League is a new idea that has become possible due to the
Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Wi-Fi Capabilities of battling players around the
world via Wi-Fi. This has opened the door to battling far away friends and to
make it even more of an experience, Pokemonworld.co.uk has based itself upon it.
Even though it is a .co.uk Domain. Pokemon World League is a worldwide
phenomenon that is merely hosted in the UK. We have many Scottish, Welsh Irish
and English members but also we have Canadians, Americians, South Americians,
Europeans and heck some Japanese that have learned english!
This is a legal concept as it does NOT in anyway break any rules or regulations
of the use of Nintendo Products. It is merely helping with the advertisement in
its games and spreading more options from just completing the game.
We are also a huge place for trading. None of your illogical lvl 100 dialgas for
level 1 rattatas here. Its from basic trades to technical trades, such as
pokemon with Individual Values, Dynamic Values and some Effort Valued Trained
(EV Training).
The website itself is a place of information, reviews, guides and helpful tips
from some of the best players of Pokemon Games in the world. So don't feel that
your the only guy who likes pokemon. We like it as much as you! Maybe more!
The forums are really where it all kicks off. Once registerred, you can get to
know our community! Get to know who you will be challenging to become the
champion, get to trade with some amazing trainers and get to spice up your
member profile with signatures, avatars alike made in the GFX Lounge Forum.
