Individual Values of Pokemon

Pokemon Individual Values are what many would call something complicated to understand. Trust me, it isn't. At first look you'll probably go. OMG That I really don't understand! But this table below and understanding of IV Training will make it easier.

As you can see on this screenshot of my game. It shows 9 lines of useful information. One of them you might of questionned if your an EV Trainer wondering "Why do they say 'Good perseverance' on there?" Well, Individual Values given to a pokemon are given out depending on what kind of individual pokemon it is. As you can see Riolu is a Modest Natured pokemon with Good Perseverance. But what does it mean?

Individual Values are stats awarded before you start training it. By getting a cetain individual nature your pokemon will earn certain bonus IVs in a certain stat. But how much? Heres a friendly guide of each stat after a lot of hard work. Yes, that means your lucky compared to some of us who did this. ;.;

Oh and look, our Riolu can have anything from a max of 29 IVs in Defense, not amazing for a special sweeping pokemon. Then again, there is more to this IV if you take it further.

A good way to find out your IVs for your pokemon are by using an IV Calculator. Serebii.Net has a useful one but soon I will be making a custom IV calculator. The idea is that it gives you a rough estimation of your pokemons IVs, to find its true IVs then you would at level 1 put it in a wifi level 100 single battle and then using summary input its stats into the IV Calculator to get 100% sure results.

IVs are very useful if you want to get the most out of your pokemon. Please make sure you take consideration of this whilst your breeding the perfect pokemon.
